A Little About Dancing Fish Productions

We are a Dallas, TX based animation and production house, established and run by husband and wife team, Justin and Fiona Hall.

With over 20 combined years of experience in the film, TV, festival and corporate arenas, we have collected such credits as Pathe's Oscar nominated, The Illusionist, Vertigo Film's Monsters, BBC's OOglies, Sesame Workshop's Tiny Planets, BBC's Songs of Praise and C.S. Lewis: Beyond Narnia, The Edinburgh International Film Festival and The Dallas International Film Festival.

Although we are based in Dallas, we are more than happy to work with anyone, anywhere and already have a wealth of experience working in the UK in particular, as we were previously based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

A Little About Justin

Though I have spent most of my life in the UK, I was born in the US (North Carolina) and also lived for a few years in Germany. I am an American citizen and also hold British residency; the best of both worlds.

I originally trained in traditional animation at the North Wales School of Art and Design. Since graduating in 1998, I have worked in games, TV and feature animation along with nearly 10 years' freelancing in a wide variety of production and design fields. These have included motion graphics, print design, video editing and web design for clients such as Scottish Television, Fair Trade, Christian Aid and the Dallas International Film Festival.

My primary field of expertise is animation, with experience in 2D and 3D, character and non-character, broadcast and corporate and motion graphics.

A Little About Fiona

I have been working in the industry since 2002. Working up the ranks from runner to production manager and now producer, I have gained a wealth of experience in all areas of production, including working on live-action sets, with post production, and in animation studios. Predominantly my work has been in features and TV dramas, but I also have experience in shorts, corporate and film festivals.

Knowing how much filmmaking is collaboration, I feel very fortunate to have worked with some of the most talented and professional artists and crew, many of whom have won Emmys, BAFTAs and Golden Globes. My aims when working are organization, co-operation and professionalism, as well as providing an environment that is creative and fun to work in.

I am a very enthusiastic and positive person, who loves everything from cooking, dancing and fine art to quantum physics and politics. Originally from Newcastle, England, I've lived most of my life in Scotland, with spells in Japan and now Texas, but I sound like I'm from Northern Ireland, "so I do".

I love working with my husband and young son, Ethan, who has his father's artistic skill and his mother's love to dance, and I look forward to working with you.
